Booking with Us
The price listed online is based on two people sharing a twin or double room. If you are travelling alone, we will try our best to match you with a guest of a similar age and same gender. Should you require a single room, this can be arranged with at an extra cost. The quoted price is inclusive of accomodation, meals, entrance to historic sites and all cultural experiences however optional tours, airport transfers, drinks, snacks and flights to Scotland are not included in this price. Your tour guide reserves the right to ask you to leave the trip should your conduct in any way endanger the safety of yourself, your fellow tourists or your guide.
By signing the booking form you agree that if for any reason (including your inability, behaviour or health) the management or tour guide feels that you may endanger the safety or welfare of any property, yourself or other guests, they may refuse to let you continue the tour. We reserve the right to cancel the tour of any guest who at any time constitutes a risk to themselves or other guests. Any expenses incurred shall be the responsibility of that guest and no refund will be given. Your luggage will be driven between accommodations, however it is your responsibility to keep your personal effects safe. Travels Through Time accept no responsibility for loss or damage to your personal effects.
If you have a medical condition, we must be made aware of this at the time of booking. You must ensure that you bring enough of any medication you may need to see you through the duration of the entire tour, as you may not be able to get what you need locally.
Medical Conditions
Special Diet
If you have any special dietary requirements please notify us at the time of booking, as we need to inform our accomodation providers well in advance. Our accommodation is often in very remote areas, and they may only go into town for supplies once a week therefore it is imperative that they know of any special dietary needs in plenty of time to plan menus.
Deposit
All our holidays are subject to a 20% deposit per person payable at the time of booking. These deposits are non refundable. The balance of your payment will be due no later than 4 weeks prior to your arrival date. If you book your holiday within 4 weeks of your arrival, then the total cost will be due immediately. If payment is not received by the due date, your holiday may be cancelled. There will be no refund for cancellation of holiday within 4 weeks of your arrival date.
Changes to Itinerary
Sometimes it may be necessary to change our planned itinerary. Please note that the itineraries provided online are intended as a rough guide and are subject to change at the tour guides discretion. We will do our best to adhere to this itinerary but your trip may be altered where necessary due to inclement weather, site closures, traffic and any other unforeseen circumstances that may endanger the staff or safety of the group. By paying your deposit, you accept that if is deemed by the management or tour guide that it would be unsafe or impossible to use the planned itinerary, it may be changed.
Cancellations
In extreme circumstances, it may be possible that Travels Through Time have to cancel your holiday. In these circumstances, we will offer you alternative arrangements, however if these are unacceptable to you we will refund any monies paid by you, but will not be responsible for any other losses incurred.
Travel Insurance
It is a booking condition that all clients must have travel insurance that covers them against personal injury, medical expenses, death and repatriation for the full duration of their tour. We also recommend that your cover extends to holiday cancellation, personal effects and currency.
